Where's Ruby?

This is a picture that I made for a coworker and his wife for their new little addition. Ruby was due to enter the world last Friday, July 9, and we have not seen her yet. She is still hanging out with Mom. I'm pretty sure Amanda is ready for her to make her appearance, especially since it's been so hot here--they are saying 101 today.

Anyway, this frame was inspired by one Michelle Selburg did for our Stamposium in April. It was absolutely beautiful!. This uses Very Vanilla cardstock with the Very Vintage wheel in Soft Suede rolled over half of the page. I then stenciled in Versamark using the Folk Flowers stencil set. Then I rubbed Ruby Red (thought it was appropriate ;o)) and Soft Suede over the area where I had stenciled. Then I smeared Stencil Cream over the other half and let it dry for a few hours. I rubbed Ruby Red and Soft Suede ink over this as well, then stenciled in Ruby Red ink the same stencil. I cut out an "R" using our Big Shot and Serif Essentials Alphabet die and then inked it with Soft Suede--I used the Classic ink because I did not have the Craft, but I think it looks ok) and attached with Dimensionals. I stamped her name using the Rough Type stamp set from the Summer mini catalog and punched it with the Designer Label punch and put in the fancy label frame from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit, layered it on Soft Suede and then Very Vanilla and distressed the edges and sponged them in Soft Suede. I did the same for the picture/footprint piece as well.

All that is missing is little Ruby. If she doesn't come over the weekend, they will induce Monday. I just know we can't wait to see her.
