Getting Ready for Halloween and Spirited Stamp Night

I am so excited to show you this card! I did this for our Holiday mini card swap and I had so much fun making this. I love decorating for Halloween (my family can tell you I can get a little out of control), with my lit-up bone walkway,  a plasma skull, jack-o-lanterns, lots of fog, strobe light, even a witch standing over her fiery cauldron (and her black cat).  And that’s just on the porch. Inside are ghosts and spooky candelabras, pumpkins and more. I just added a new candelabra and a spooky tree, on which I will hang Halloween ornaments made with Stampin’ Up! supplies on.

I had to pick the Dark & Dreary stamp set, because I loved the Halloween tag and the crow (and of course, there’s a candelabra too).  Here’s the picture:

Here’s the supplies I used:

Stamp set: Dark & Dreary

Ink pads: Basic Black, Elegant Eggplant

Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Old Olive, Whisper White

Accessories: Spider Web Embossing Folder, Black Waffle Paper, Raven Lace Ribbon, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Sponge, Cutter Kit Distressing Tool, Dimensionals

Stamp the crow from Dark & Dreary in Basic Black on the upper right corner of the Pumpkin Pie cardstock, and distress the edges of the cardstock. Run the Basic Black cardstock through the Big Shot with the Spider Web embossing folder. Then sponge Frost White Shimmer Paint by sweeping lightly working from the center out to the edge to catch the embossed portion of the web. Rip the upper right corner of the black cardstock so that the crow will peek through, and distress the edges, then adhere to Pumpkin Pie layer. Stamp the Happy Halloween from Dark & Dreary on Whisper White with Elegant Eggplant. Distress the edges of stamped image and add and inch of ruffled waffle paper to the bottom. Layer on Old Olive, and rip bottom about 1/4 inch away from waffle paper. Distress edges of Old Olive and add Dimensionals to the back. Tie a bow with the Raven Lace ribbon around this layer, then place on spider web layer.  Curl corners as desired. You are ready to send it to your favorite goblin.
